When choosing a mycorr or trich product is it better to get in a soluble form or is a granular form the best way to produce the desired results... kinda leaning towards the granular form

I like water soluble as I feel I can get it to the roots now, granular s are good for prepping soil in the spring.

I prefer granular because I'm applying directly to the roots when planting or doing a root injection. Because a myco spore will remain dormant unless it comes into contact with the plant's roots it isn't as effective to water it in. No sense in putting it into the soil without a plant because it will just remain dormant or get eaten by other microorganisms, which is a pretty expensive food source.

Thanks guys for the input , the reason I'm asking is last year I used the soluble forms of endo and trich and didn't see the crazy root growth of previous years ..so I had doubts on the soluble form.. sounds like my best option would be to saturate the planting hole in the spring with a granular product at transplant time ...then go with the soluble on the established root base..for a quick impact.. unfortunately in my local I can not grow a spring cover crop already inoculated then till under as plant progresses.. which seems like a great idea
