its been a hard season this year. ive learned more from this year than the past 5! After my first fruit aborted I pushed hard to get something going. lucked out and had a nice pumpkin about 18 ft out. growing good then the foaming stump happened. amputated it and it healed! as my pumpkin neared its age in which she really starts to grow, I took off blanket one am and the whole bottom half of the pumpkin looked like a shattered mirror. huge cracks. half inch wide and deep. unbelievable no cracks penetrated the pumpkin. I was sure another nights growth would blow it up completely but to my amazement it didn't! been a week now and its still growing and the cracks have all dried up . its the ugliest thing ive ever grown. anyone ever had this happen and make it till the end of the season?

Ive lost mine at 844 est earlier this year. Would have been 1300 lbs by weigh off time. Joe has lost a big one too. Good luck with that pumpkin!
