Fellow Growers, it is that time of year again weigh-off season! I am posting this as a reminder to all growers that in order to participate in the Woodstock Fair they need to preregister. There is no fee to register, so please add your name to the list now in-case one of your pumpkins has a problem you can have an option to get it officially weighed at a GPC site. If you have a giant tomato, field pumpkin or long gourd you can also get these officially entered.

The deadline for entries to be received is August 23rd, 2013 so get them in the mail now. For official rules please see page two…

This will be Team-Pumpkins second weigh-off of 2013. All are welcome to attend and even if your pumpkin does not make it we strongly encourage you to attend and support your fellow Teammates, even if you are a new grower. As we saw on our patch tour it has been a challenging year, but there is always some tips that can be picked-up and in traditional Team-Pumpkin style there is rumored to be some apple crisp for those that help at the event.

Weigh-in day is August 29th, 2013 from 3pm-9pm and pumpkin pick-up day is Tuesday September 3rd with forklift assistance provided from 4:30-7pm.

We encourage pumpkins of all sizes to participate.

We have a great prize structure $3,550.00 total cash prizes , GPC Ribbons to top 20 and pay down to top ten. And yes Norm Apple Crisp!! Great opportunity to get those early pumpkins weighed at a GPC Site.
