On my 1775 Starr, the main double vined out of the gate. I cut it and unfortunately the result was a split in the main vine.

I've got a side vine that is above this split and will use it as a main. Its got a small grower on it and I want to maximize whatever chances it has.

The 20' foot main is still on the plant and some secondaries off it. How much of this should I prune? I've only got about 350 square feet of total plant area but it seems like this is just a drain on the energy at this point...

Thanks in advance for the advice.

From what I understand the secondary will be the new main and that old main will be like a secondary now? If so, I'd prune the secondaries off the old main (now terts) and grow them off the new main. Hope that makes sense, but I'd want secondaries just off my designated main.
