I'm at 7 dap and I am going to have to remove leaf and side vine at the stem, should I wait a little while longer or just remove them now, and should I prune and sulfer or prune and let them be, thank you to anyone who helps :)

Cut now and sulfur. If you know your going to cut them off, then do it when they are very small.

Why wait and risk a twisted vine or split due to the stress the leaf/side vine can cause on windy days...It's just 1 leaf..not going to hurt anything ..just might prevent a future problem. If it ends up being culled you can fill the space left by the secondary with third growth from the next vine..Mark

on the flip side of this If your plant is really big & healthy.Sure cut it off,but if not how many leafs are on that side vine?Thats before the kin I assuming and those will feed the kin for sure.I like to take a pitch fork up root the side vine & rebury it leaving some slack so I dont loose those precious leafs, every leaf adds a few pounds in the log run.

I usually leave it on to the last possible moment. As long as there isn't any stress to the stem, never had any problems with it. Check how well its rooted also, that vine is a direct feeder to the pumpkin so why cut it if its not a problem.
