Today my backup plant headed to the landscape bin. The photo shows the root structure. I grew it in a 1.75 gallon container from Home Depot. It's probably a little easier to transplant from a 1 gallon container, so next year I will grow two in a 1 gallon and two in the 1.75 gallon, since the bigger container provides more flexibility for timing, weather, etc., if they need to be held inside for a short time.
