Last year Russ discovered VPD...vapor pressure deficit. Very simply, it's the measurement of water passing through the plant. When water passes through a plant it drags nutrients along with it. When the humidity is very high, water doesn't move through the plant if at all. In a greenhouse humidty is very high at nighttime when the temperature drops and the VPD goes to 0. Mike has been giving me tutorials about VPD and it's been an eye opener. Thanks Mike! So the point to all this is that we should be thinking about not watering at nightime. Please reply with your thoughts and /or corrections.
