Hi guys. It's been a long time since I kept a diary on this site. I did this for the first time in 2017, and then I grew Russia's first giant pumpkin. This year I will try to be less lazy and take regular notes.
A lot has changed over the years. In 2024, I grew the heaviest pumpkins in Russia, weighing 1801lb and 1700 lb, among others.
I don't want to stop there, and this year my goal is to break the 2205lb mark. To do this, I am building a greenhouse and have acquired many good seeds. My favorite will be the 2365 wolf seed. I'll show you the other seeds later.
Also this year, I am the co-organizer of the Russian Giant Pumpkin Growing Championship, the final of which will be held in the first half of September.

You have to plant a giant onion before anyone else. My onion is 70 days old, it looks good. Significantly better than last year.

As you can see, my 893 pumpkin grew into my 1700 pumpkin. I am ready to send several sets to those people who definitely want to plant pumpkin seeds 893. Just write your comment under this entry and I will be able to send them to the first 4. I can also put some seeds from my pumpkins this year in these kits. But only 4 sets. I tried to send seeds to the USA and European countries, everything worked out. I will send the seeds for free.

Yesterday, I transplanted a giant onion into 60-liter growbags. I use white peat and agroperlite. Surprisingly, it's a warm spring, but the nights are still cold. I put a heater in the greenhouse to keep the onions warm.

At night, the temperature outside dropped to -13 degrees Celsius, but the temperature in the greenhouse did not drop below 7 degrees Celsius. The onion continues to grow. This is my second attempt to grow a giant onion, last time the largest onion weighed 3325 grams. I wonder how much weight you'll get this time.,

Soaked the seeds. After about 6 hours, I'll bury them in a pot and keep the temperature at 30 degrees Celsius. I think everything will be fine. The first sowing is in 2365 and 2020. The next sowing will be in a week, and then on April 14th. I plant 7 pumpkins in total, 2 of them in the greenhouse.

Here is 2266 for 2 dap. This is twice as much as it was 2365 for 2 dap. I know it doesn't mean anything, but it's always quite exciting at first. Every day you approach a pumpkin in the hope that it has gained a lot of weight, but it has grown just a little bit. You begin to convince yourself that it's not the time yet and very soon she will grow up properly. Especially depressing is the fact that in the first 20 days the difference between pumpkins can be huge. I always want the pumpkin to start growing quickly as early as possible.

Plant 2266 looks much more modest than 2365. The leaves are smaller and the vines are thinner. They grow up side by side and receive the same nutrition, but develop in completely different ways.
